LuPSRec 170 brings an Original from Dr. Avalance. Born in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Simon Gomez a.k.a. Dr. Avalance was intrigued by the music since very young, until the 90′s he discovered the magical world of Midi. After many “experiments” and collaborations with musicians through a decade, in the 2000th year of the Common Era he decided to seriously produce electronic music. Dr. Avalance aka Simon Perez now lives in the north of Spain. His Dutch roots and his Spanish blood are causing a magical effect on his music.

His original tracks contains a more downtempo groove with crispy percussion. On top he placed all sorts of Jean Michel Jarre sounding synthstabs and pads. The whole arrangement and atmosphere of this original is just spacey and druggy.

The first remix comes from ever constintent Dutch duo Analog Effect. Their Rework version just goes deep and sneaks under your skin. A moody but steady percussion groove with on top a couple of morphed and tweaked synthriffs, leads you to the breakdown section which is pretty intense. When it all get’s back together the track really takes of.

The last remix comes from and another duo Juan Feijoo & Fran Rodriguez. They build a more uptempo big room groove with a dark growling bass and a fragile yet breakable spooky atmosphere. This remix sounds like the good old Luke Chable tracks from early 2000.

Finally release 100 is there. Labelboss Jacco@Work returns to LuPS with an Original track called Helium. Compared with his earlier Original works Helium is far more melodic and atmospheric. The track kicks off with a beatloop filled up with crispy percussion like snappy fingers and sissling hihats. Halfway the build Jacco introduces eerie soundscapes and moody pads which gives the track a melancholic feel. Then when the breakdown appears the track turns into another direction. The vocals from Rez and the new plucked guitarline are creating a more happy atmosphere. Surely when a very catchy buzzing leadline hits the speakers. At that moment the track takes oflike a helium balloon. Alongside this vocal version Jacco@Work also delivered an instrumental version.

The first remix comes from Napalm. He fully turned the remixpackage upside down and sorted out the best usable samples to create a monsterous pumping remix with vocoded leadlines and a devastating Tech House groove. This is a peaktime hour bomb.

The second remix comes from Neel V. He also sorted out the remixpack and took out the best samples and added some new additional synthstabs and fx’s to create a more deeper, sleazy, yet dazzling and moody version with a old school prog house feel.

The last remix comes from Rez. Besides being the vocalist on the Original track Rez also shows that he is capable to produce tracks. His remix is more uptempo and a cool crossover between Old School and Prog House. A deep bumping bassline, a catchy syntstab and driving percussion takes you back to the 90′s when the crowd went crazy on OT Quartet – Hold That Sucker Down. Not an average remix, but surely a great gimmick.

An unusual off beat rhythmstrcuture and a wobbly one stab bassline has been combined with a few Deep House syntstabs, female vocals, stringsections and a trumpet/flute melodyline.

The first remix comes from Peru and sees the return of Aber on the label. Aber turned the Original into a great clubby tune with a great deep bassline, crispy swinging percusion and a handfull of new elements like a slap bass and a tweaked arped pluck stab. This remix is a great warming up tune.

The last remix sees the return of another LuPS artist. Maxi Iborquiza drowned his remix in a bath filled with a deep hypnotic fluid. A very deep resonating bassline a moody pads and a distored guitar are causing a gloomy atmosphere. The track really takes of when Maxi introduces a Techy synthstab after the breakdown. Together with the driving percussion the whole track comes alive and turns into a peaktime hour spaced out timebomb.

LuPSRec 157 brings an Original track from Kaya (IRL) a duo from Coleraine, Ireland, consisting of Charlie Marx & Scott McCann. Their track Distanza is a distinctive crossover between Prog House and Trance and already got broadcasted and supported on BBC Radio 1, BBC Ulster ATL & Radio West Fife.
The tracks kicks of with a subtile pianoplay which has been combined with a deep growling prog breaks bassline. As the track delvelops a huge kickdrum hits the speakers followed up by some fragile pads and eerie arplines. Towards the breakdown Charlie & Scott are managing to build up a fairy gloomy soundscape. Then when the breakdown appears the sounds are getting more raw, tweaked and energetic. This is a huge contrast compared to the start of the track. This is a solid setstarter when you need to play at peaktime hours.

The only remix comes from man of the moment Nanai Pal aka Napalm. His remix is fully the opposite of the original track. Nanai build a perfect rolling groove with a lot of depth and swing. A bold warm bassline is carrying the track very well whilst the crispy percussion does the rest. All along the way Nanai introduces new elements like a new arpline and a fuzzy and distorted filtered guitarriff, which gives this remix a more gritty feel. This is a perfect warming up tune like only Napalm can make them.

It is time for the first collab track between Ilya Deep adn Jacco@Work. You can easliy hear who produced what in this track. Ilya took care of the atmospheric melodylines and Jacco took care for the beats and bassline and additonal fx’s. All together this leads to a unique blend of styles. Their team up turned out into a moody, melancholic but yet atmospheric prog house track with Tech House beats and crispy percussion.

The first remix comes from Fake Truth. His remix is not so average. It takes off with an eerie synthline and a lazy broken beat structure filled up with a deep slappy bassstab and swirlling bubbling sound fx’s. As the track moves forward the beats are turning into a more 4 to the floor structure to turn back again halfway the track into a breakbeatstructure during the breakdown of the track. At the end things are becoming more Tech Prog with a pounding dark groove. As said not an average track but surely a great chill out tune which adds some magic to the dancefloor as the end of the track brings back the full energy.

The second remix comes from Fiddler. He is rapidly making name and fame in the today scene with his more old school bassed prog house sound. This remix is no exception to that style. It kicks of with a bombastic groove with a wide soundscape filled up with some steady percussionlines. On top he placed the arpped synthlines and moody melodylines of the original to create an orchestral sound. This is a great after hour chill out track.

The last remix comes from Domased Electronica. After his very well received The Magic Of Candles release he now brings a huge remix of My Little Girl. It is admireable how Ladislav is capeable to keep up with the pace of delivering quality tunes. From the first note till the end his remix is breathing. A superb groove with a dark organstab as earcatcher combined with a bold deep warmbassline lies underneath a magical musical carpet of melodylines and ambient sounds. This remix goes deep and explores each corner of your human being. Surely when the very well found sample of a laughing young girl hits your speakers and Ladislav introduces a soulpiercing new fluteline which causes the goosebumps all over your body. This is true prog from the heart and a timeless masterpiece. Save the best for last so to speak!!!

DZN (Jan Boom, Nils de Zwart, Kenny de Zwart and Jay Junior) are delivering a old school Chicago House bassed Deep House stomper with a double AA class sticker on it. The track kicks off with a blunted stomping groove which easily sets a dancefloor on fire. After two minutes the track is on full power and then they are introducing a pretty cool male voice which tells a story about his cab drive in Chicago. This track is one of those perfect setbuilders which builds up an amazing atmosphere on the dancefloor. Alongside the Original you’ll find an Instrumental and Dub Version available.

Halfway the track in the break Andre introduces some mellow moody synstabs and a new hookline which turns the track into a an even more uplifting tune for those peaktime hour moments.

The first remix comes from Ilya Deep. Ilya is rapidly making name and fame with his deep, soft magical approach in his Original tracks and remixes. His The Road To The Lost Kingdom Remix is no exception to his style. His remix starts with a deep moody, foggy outerspace pad which makes it ideal as setopener. After a while Ilya introduces his laidback beats and percussionlines which he combined with a warm bold bassline. This all leads to a dreamy, chilling track for those earsoothing late night moments after hard clubbing.

The last remix comes from labelboss Jacco@Work. His remix kicks of with an uptempo clubby groove stuffed up with driving percussion and a cool bongoloop. He re-used the original bassline. Besides that he added some extra melody and syntstabs to top it all of.

The 159th release on LuPS brings an Original from Slovakia based producer Ladislav Zajic aka Domased Electronica. With a string of releases on labels like Mistique, Morphosis and Mestiza it is now time for a rocksolid track on LuPS called The Magic Of Candles. The Original version is a dreamy and fragile track with lots of warmth and depth. Ladislav blended together lots of soundlayers and created and enchanting atmosphere with a stunning and dazzling breakdown section which sounds like a fairytale adventure.

The first remix comes from no-one less then Matias Chilano. His remix is simply amazing and contains a great bassline and crispy percussion which gives the track a great drive and flow. Furthermore to round it all up Matias added a couple of new very catchy synthstabs and voxsamples to create a perfect soothing atmosphere. Once again Matias proves why his name is still rising.

The second remix comes from Bulgarian producer Alessandro. After his very well received Utopia EP on LuPS he now shows up with a stomping remix. He took one of the main catchy synthstabs of the Original version and builded a rocking and steamy groove around it with surely rocks the floor. Also Alessandro added some vox snippets to his remix which gives the whole track a more ethnic flavour. This remix is a peaktime hour bomb track with a rather energetic groove.

Last remix comes from Jacco@Work. His remix kicks of with a rather organic beatloop and a deep bassstab. After 30 seconds a driving percussionloop drops in and together with a bumpy bassline the road has been cleared for a pretty dancefloor friendly warming up tune. Also Jacco@Work added some extra fx’s in the breakdown section like eerie violins, deep resonating space sounds, talking people and a breakbeatloop which turns the track into an bum shaking track after the breakdown.

The frist remixes comes from one of Poland’s finest upcoming producers E.F.G.. His remix is somehow similair and close to the style of East Cafe. It contains long moody and dreamy pads, a loose rhythmstructure and tiny fragile percussion. This all leads to a breathtaking breakdown section with an unmeasurable depth filled up with breakbeats, foggy pads and spacey soundscapes. This is a timeless piece of music and a musthave for all those good old prog house lovers.

Last remix comes from Charly Aguada. His remix kicks of with a big bassdrum and crispy percussion. On top Charly placed the moody pads, the humming birds rainforest fx’s and tiny synth stabs.
It is time for the debut of Manufactura Deep on LuPS Records. After a couple of releases on labels like Balkan Connection, Bermudos and Green Snake it is now time for LuPS to showcase the talent of Denis Pchelovodov. His track Lost Force is just one big journey along the stars. With it’s 12 minutes it might be a bit long for a set but the indulging and soulpiercing atmosphere of the track makes you forget everything. A hypnotic arp bellsound, spaced out foggy pads, a sleazy rhythm and a couple of great fx’s are creating a mindless and blissfull adventure through time and space. This is not an average track but one that sneaks under your skin and stays here for ever.

The first remix comes from Ewan Rill. He created a dancefloor friendly version with an uptempo groove. A great bassline pushes his remix forward. On top Ewan placed the original elements like the arped bellsound and spaced out foggy layers. Once again Ewan created a great warming up tune.

The second remix comes from another Russian talent. Igor Hodorenko aka Ri9or makes his debut on the label with an awesome remix. The bassline in this remix just goes deeper then deep and the crispy percussionlines are creating a swinging atmosphere. Together with a dreamy atmosphere with female vocalsnippets and a handfull of rocksolid fx this is a stand out remix.

The third remix comes again from Russia. Ilya Deep turned the original into a movie picture soundtrack from a fairytail movie. Long dreamy, moody soundscapes are bringing you towards the woods and hills with fresh edelweiss flowers and bees playing in the dazzeling sunlight. A perfect track for a sunday afternoon.

The fourth remix comes from the fast rising starduo Silicon Syndicate. They turned the Original into a slow motion psy prog trance track with a haunting atmosphere. This is a monstertrack with a lovely old school flavour build on a devestating groove which shows you each corner of the dancefloor. Now way to hide.

Last remixes comes from labelboss Jacco@Work. Despite his heavy schedule he managed to squeeze out a juicy remix with an uptempo groove. Also here the foggy and dreamy atmosphere of the original has been seized. It is causing a fine blend of styles which leaded to a Prog Tech track with balls.

It is time for a new Napalm EP. Once again Nanai Pal shows that he is a producer to look after. This EP is filled with 3 gorgeous and atmospheric tracks. Firts up is the titletrack Evolution. Evolution contains a steady pounding prog groove which has been combined with moody synthlines, gloomy arppegio’s and a couple of trancy leadlines. This track goes deep and takes you beyond your imagination.

Second track up is Ice Heart. This track just oozes and it contains a lot of depth and space. It inhales and breaths ice cold artic winds. Just a perfect warming up tune or a perfect afterparty track.

Last track on this EP is Unstoppable. The track kicks of with a kind of cripsy disco percussion loop but pretty quick a majestic haunting sythnlayer drops in followed up by a superb bassline. On top all sorts of fx’s and synthstabs are flying in and out. This all leads to an unstoppable track with a energetic stop with creating tracks that are hitting the right spot.

After the well received first part of David Depth feat. Angskar – B+ with massive remixes from Agrande, Kay-D and Hector Sawiak it is now time for 3 new fresh remixes by Adam P, Napalm and Matt Parker.

First remix of B+ comes from Adam P. It is the debut of Adam on LuPS and it a solid debut so to say. His remix kicks of with a bright soothing and ambient intro. After 30 seconds Adam starts to build up a massive groove which just rolls out of your speakers. This remix is another timeless gem which just gives you shivers down your spine and goosebumps on your skin.

Second remix comes from ever consistent Napalm. Nanai turned the original into a steamy and smoking piece of peaktime hour Prog Tech House. This remix contains a druggy and foggy atmosphere which for sure will go down well on a packed dancefloor with a burning stroboscope and a pumping smoke machine. A bomb track.

The last remix comes from Matt Parker. His remix is a pretty unique piece of craftsmanship. It is almost art with all it’s sounds and snippets from jazz, ethnic sitars, ragga muffin bassline and guitarriffs. Truly a unique blend of styles on Tech House beats. Hard to describe but very usefull on the beach for a good chill out with a cocktail and a little dance.
